Deprecated error on Incoming Links

    Today I logged into my site to update a page and noticed an error on the Incoming Links section of the Dashboard.

    It reads:

    Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /usr/share/wordpress/wp-includes/class-simplepie.php on line 738

    It is actually there at least 50 times with ever increasing line numbers for the error in the same file.

    Update. I also have this same error under the WordPress Blogs and Plugins on the Dashboard.
