Deleting Theme Items

Hello everyone! I’m trying to customize a theme to fit my music distribution website that im creating for an aritst that I work for. Basically I’m going to integrate the blog into the main page within an iframe, to easily display latest news in an easy to edit form for the artist. but I want to remove everything (the sidebar, the header, the footer, etc.) except the actual posts. I’ve been trying to edit the theme for about a week now, and it just keeps coming out wrong. Any ideas or suggestions?
