    Hello makoraem,

it is not possible for normal users to delete their own posts. Only moderators or administrators can delete posts.

Posts should be only deleted when it is really necessary because it would destroy the reading-experience when some posts refer to non-existing content.

I understand. My question related to if the subscriber replied to someone and wanted to remove it immediately (before others had commented). Maybe they thought their reply should have been in another forum or stream. Not sure how valuable or difficult to program this would be but may be nice to see a countdown or delay after submission until the post was ‘fully’ submitted. Anyway, I’ll mark this as resolved. Thank you for the very quick response.

Yes, maybe this could be a good idea. Something like: Users can delete their own posts/threads as long as there is no answer yet.

I will think about it and put it on my todo-list:

I’d perhaps make this a configurable option for the forum admin. Might be something that could be disabled, perhaps give the option of a timeout? If person tries to delete within a few minutes/hours (as configured) that’s fine.. but if it’s a few days later then the option disappears.

If someone can post and delete immediately it could be used as a mechanism for antagonising the original poster, especially if they receive a notification of a reply. Might also be worth adding a configurable limit? User can delete n number of their own posts per day?
