Deleting Parent Pages

    Lets say I have a parent page with 3,000 pages attached/linked to it.

    If I deleted that parent page would:

    1. The 3,000 pages/URLs remain in tact?
    2. The 3,000 pages/URLs still function on the website?

    Nothing really changes when you delete a parent page. The child pages will still be there, with the same URLs.

    They will NOT change from http://www.yoursite.com/parent-page/child-page to http://www.yoursite.com/child-page

    Double check this on your site by creating a test parent page with 2 child pages, and then delete that test parent.

    Is there any way to move pages in bulk out of one parent, and into another? To use our example, if I have 3,000 pages under the parent page “/fake-category/”, can I move them all to a new parent like “/new-category/”? Or is there a plugin to help accomplish this? I know I could do it manually, but that would take quite a while.
