Deleting malware from my theme folder

    I have just deleted all but these three files which were identified as infected on my WordPress site at http://www.andrewstucken.com running Expounnd theme.

    /wp-content/updraft/themes-old/expound/content-nav.php
    /wp-content/updraft/themes-old/expound/functions.php
    /wp-content/updraft/themes-old/expound/fonts/license_indesit.php

    As you can see they all contain files related to my theme and I am nervous about deleting the one ending functions.php in particular as I understand that this could compromise functionality of my webssite.

    To be on the safe side, what can I do here? Would switching temporarily to another theme before deleting the files be a wise move?

    Or maybe deleting Expound theme altogether using my hosts’s file manager and then reinstalling it?
