Hello Rraedeke,
First off, you might want to set your permalinks to “post name” which would make them pretty: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Choosing_your_permalink_structure Sometimes not using that can mess with things here and there.
If that doesn’t fix it then I suggest deactivating all plugins and seeing if you can remove it then. If can be removed then one by one reactivate the plugins until one of them triggers it and then you’ll know where its coming from.
Hope that helps,
Sage
So a quick question about deactivating Plugins.
By doing this, will I lose the settings that we created?
Or do I lose the data associated with them… IE – the expiration date on posts…
Thanks.
My guess is that “Widget Landing Page” is an auto-generated page which one of your plugins creates. The plugin (whichever it is) possibly needs this page for previews or something similar.
I wouldn’t bother too much about it.
The real problem is that you haven’t specified a menu in Appearance => Menus so by default, the theme just puts every single page into the menu as they get added.
Simply create a menu and only add the pages you want:
1. Go to Appearance => Menus
2. Create a new menu e.g. Main Menu
3. Add all the pages you want to appear in the menu from the “Pages” list
4. Drag and drop to order them
5. Make sure you tick the checkbox at the bottom:
— Theme Location => Primary Navigation (checked)
— Auto Add Pages => (unchecked)
6. Make sure you click “Save Menu”
OR… If you already have a menu, you have the “Auto Add Pages” checked. If so:
1. Uncheck “Auto Add Pages”
2. Remove the “Widget Landing Page” from the menu by expanding the item and clicking “Remove”
