I’ve just deleted my Admin account, and all the media that had been uploaded seems to have been lost – is there a Trash folder for Media?

No there isn’t. Have you confirmed – using FTP – that the image files are still present in wp-content/uploads?

I’ve checked via FTP and the original folders are empty 🙁

    I’m hoping I have a hosting backup….

Deleting your admin account wouldn’t delete all of those image files. This sounds far more like there’s been an issue on your server. I certainly think that you need to contact your hosts about it asap.

OK – Thanks for you assistance.

I’ll check for another local backup.
