delete 'leave a reply' problem

    Hey there
    new to wordpress and web site building
    googled the above how to and was told to dashboard/settings/discussions and uncheck all boxes nothing tryed another in widgets place widget text in all footers and now have a box and post comment and admin logout at bottom of page
    my template is Twenty Ten don’t really want to work with php if I don’t have to

    Are you trying to make it so that people can’t leave a comment on a particular post or page?

    I am building a web site to sell jewellery I make
    and want a blank canvas to start with and have a contact page
    and maybe a recommendations page but I want leave a reply,log out admin
    comment texts to not be on any pages

    .. in the post or page editor .. in the upper right hand corner is a tab that when clicks it brings up a set of checkbox options, checkmark the one that says [x] Discussion

    Then, you will see a new set of options under the textarea box for your post that you can disable those checkboxes to not allow comments on that page or post.
