Delay editing very long content using classic editor | WordPress.org

While trying to edit the page in the classic editor there is a significant delay between typing and it showing in the editor. Any ideas how to fix this besides breaking the content into separate pages? The person who manages the site prefers all the information on one page. The page loads fine on the public facing side.

Basically, the issue is that the content is so long that all the javascript that processes it takes a while. Try turning off spell and grammar checks in your browser, but the real solution is to write shorter posts/pages.
