Default user role not working

    This has been a problem for 2 months, Ive tried multiple plugins which create custom roles with custom permissions but it seems that whenever someone registers an account, they are not attributed with the default user role I set up. Instead they are given Role= none. In General settings, the default user role is set to the custom role i created. Anyone know what to do?
