Default to Sort by Name

I’ve created a Catalog using a Category. As a result, I cannot individually re-order the Products within the Category. Upon loading the Catalog, the Products are listed somewhat randomly after the first page. I would like to be able to set the “Sort By” to “Name (Ascending)” when the page loads. Is there some way to do this in the settings, through a URL parameter or through the short code?
