[resolved] Default theme (7 posts)

    I had a bunch of themes installed on my MU site, when I switch to 3.0 I deleted all the themes and plan to use the new 3.0 default theme for all new blogs created.

    I changed the theme folder name to "default" but when a new blog is created it gets a white screen and no theme is selected for it.

    I thought changing the theme folder name to default sets it to always use that when a new blog is created?

    If I go into a newly created blog under appearance > themes it says...
    Current Theme
    by

    All of this theme’s files are located in .

    Not sure why its not activating my default theme???

  3. In the new 3.0 world, the default theme is twentyten. Try naming it back?

  4. I changed the theme folder name to "default"

    Yeah, don't do that. In wordpress 3.0, it does not look for a theme folder called "default". it looks for twentyTen.

    Got it thanks guys!

    FYI, had to rename the folder twentyten, not twentyTen.

  6. Opps, sorry. :) My typos arelegendary.

    Also! you can declare a different default theme via a define in the config file.

    define('WP_DEFAULT_THEME', 'themefoldername');
