    I had a bunch of themes installed on my MU site, when I switch to 3.0 I deleted all the themes and plan to use the new 3.0 default theme for all new blogs created.

    I changed the theme folder name to “default” but when a new blog is created it gets a white screen and no theme is selected for it.

    I thought changing the theme folder name to default sets it to always use that when a new blog is created?

    If I go into a newly created blog under appearance > themes it says…
    Current Theme
    by

    All of this themeโ€™s files are located in .

    Not sure why its not activating my default theme???

    In the new 3.0 world, the default theme is twentyten. Try naming it back?

    Yeah, don’t do that. In wordpress 3.0, it does not look for a theme folder called “default”. it looks for twentyTen.

    Got it thanks guys!

    FYI, had to rename the folder twentyten, not twentyTen.

    Opps, sorry. ๐Ÿ™‚ My typos arelegendary.

    Also! you can declare a different default theme via a define in the config file.

    define('WP_DEFAULT_THEME', 'themefoldername');
