Hi,
We would like some more information.
A. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v10.0?
B. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?
C. Can you elaborate more on what you are expecting or wanting Yoast to do? We ask as we would expect Yoast to show the category in the URL. Is that not happening?
Are you able to take a screenshot of the issue? You can use a tool like: https://pasteboard.co/ to share the image.
Hello again,
A. I can confirm, we use most recent Yoast SEO, v10.0
B. Yes, all plugins and themes are updated as well
C. If Yoast SEO plugin is inactive, then everything works fine (see attached images). But if Yoast SEO plugin is active, then each and every single blog post is showing the default category instead of the individual category set by single blog post. As you can see, we currently have blog posts under 7 categories. Categories are only showing correct, if Yoast SEO plugin is inactive. As soon as we activate the plugin, all URL’s are changing and showing all blog posts under the default category, which is “Cannabinoids”.

What we’d like to see? Unique category URL’s for single blog posts like it suppose to be.
Hi,
Thanks for the images. Yoast has a feature that enables you to select two categories and make one primary. See image: https://pasteboard.co/I55S30I.png
On the pages that are having the issue can you confirm that the right category has been selected as primary?
For example on this page here: https://pasteboard.co/I55yzcM.jpg can you confirm Hemp-Products is selected as Primary?
All blog pages have the same issue when the plugin is activated! No matter what category we select in the single post, the URL is always set to the default category (as we’ve deleted “uncategorized”).
And yes, as I said, before the upgrade everything worked fine, as it’s working now without activating your plugin. We have selected one category per blog post. We do not use multiple categories per single blog post, even we could select more than one and set a primary category. But we don’t do that.
And yes, I can confirm, that each blog post is in one of the seven categories. All categories are in use.
And yes, I can confirm that Hemp-Products is selected as primary category of the mentioned blog post.
Thanks for the reply. That sounds like a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:
1. Please Check for conflicts.
2. Check for JavaScript errors with your console. If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.
If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.
We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
