    Hello:

I am testing Event Manager on a localhost and the default pages were not created for some reason when activating. I have installed on different testing installations and they were, so not sure if some plugin I have on the particular test installation in question caused the pages to not be created. The settings for Event Manager all have “post” instead of the respective pages that should have been created. I testing this with BuddyPress and so far the absence of those pages does not seem to be presenting any problems creating events, but I am unsure if there will be a problem. Are any of those pages necessary, if so, which ones? What is the difference in functionality if using “post” instead of a page? If using “post” instead of a page how/where would I add a calendar shortcode/widget?

Also, can calendars be used with buddypress so that users can see their events on a calendar?

    Thank you.

I was looking for a way to delete or edit this ticket and there does not appear to be a way to do so.

I found the answer to my question I had about using “post” instead of “page.” I also was able to generate the pages normally installed during installation using the “reset” button under “Admin Tools.”

I am still curious about whether BuddyPress users can have their own calendars display, and if so, how.

To add to my support request, I encountered some problems using the booking system. I had left the number of tickets blank, but the event was being reported as booked. I got the impression that leaving the number blank would result in unlimited number of available tickets so I am not sure why it would be reported as booked. I tried setting the number of tickets to 1000 and it only reported as having 10 tickets available. I decided to set “Enable Bookings” to “No.” After disabling bookings there still appeared an “Events I’m Attending” option on the user’s main menu. How do I remove this “Events I’m Attending” item since it is confusing to have when bookings are disabled.

Another issue I encountered was after I added several categories for events I noticed that when adding a new event and selecting a category in the drop-down menu that the field was not wide enough to accommodate the category name and the name wrapped to several rows. Is there a way to expand the category name field width so that the name shows on one line?

    Thank you.

    hi,

you can try something like [events_calendar full=1 long_events=1 owner=X] where X is the owner or user id
