    Good Day,

I am running into an issue with NextGen not showing the Gallery on a page I am building.
I have added the source code to add a Gallery and get the following error.

    Page Link: http://authentictravel.co.za/rooms/

Could someone please let me know what to do to fix this issue, thank you so much 🙂

    “Default Gallery Type Template

This is the default gallery type template, located in:
    /usr/www/users/authegzhtq/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_gallery_display/templates/index.php.

If you’re seeing this, it’s because the gallery type you selected has not
provided a template of it’s own.

    ” template=”/usr/www/users/authegzhtq/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/view/gallery-caption.php” order_by=”sortorder” order_direction=”ASC” returns=”included” maximum_entity_count=”500″]

@wilhelm945 – Please insure you are using the most current release of NextGEN Gallery then for the specific inserted display with this issue make sure the “captions” template has been properly selected in the customizations accordion panel.

    Thanks!

    Hi Author,

I have updated NextGen to the latest version and I have added the shortcode with the ‘gallery-caption.php’ and I still get the error.

You can look on the web page it does not display: http://authentictravel.co.za/rooms/

    [ngg_images source=”galleries” container_ids=”2″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails” override_thumbnail_settings=”0″ thumbnail_width=”240″ thumbnail_height=”160″ thumbnail_crop=”1″ images_per_page=”20″ number_of_columns=”0″ ajax_pagination=”0″ show_all_in_lightbox=”0″ use_imagebrowser_effect=”0″ show_slideshow_link=”0″ slideshow_link_text=”[Show slideshow]” template=”/usr/www/users/authegzhtq/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/view/gallery-caption.php” order_by=”sortorder” order_direction=”ASC” returns=”included” maximum_entity_count=”500″]

@wilhelm945 – In most instances when you set the “captions” template to be used you will see the following in the customizations accordion panel (default aside from the captions choice): http://take.ms/uSwTZT

Are you seeing that option and using it, or would you be seeing/using an option that contains the entire path as noted in the template parameter value?

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

    I have the same issue.

    NextGEN version: 2.2.1
    WordPress version: 4.7.3

I’ve used all options under eh accordion panel and the gallery still doesn’t show up.

    Please advice.
