Default Categories does not work

    I have disabled the Post Category option
    I have ticked the ‘Hidden/Default Category’
    I have added the slug ‘news’ to the Category ID for Hidden Field
    Note that ‘News’ is one of my categories.
    However, when a user posts, the post is asigned to ‘uncatagorized’ – what am I doing wrong. I want all my posts to be assigned to the Category of ‘News’

    Glad to help. The setting clearly asks for a category ID, which means that you will need to get the numerical ID for the “news” category (or whichever category you would like to use).
