Hi @bryanmccrae.
Test email doesn’t write anything to debug log, it outputs debug messages on the screen instead (if there was an error during test email sending process). It is stated on page:
You can use this section to send an email from your server using the above configured SMTP details to see if the email gets delivered.
Note: debug log for this test email will be automatically displayed right after you send it. Test email also ignores “Enable Domain Check” option.
Hi, thanks for your reply, I’m not seeing any messages on screen or in my email account (including the Junk folder)….which is whyy Ithought there might be ab entry in the debug log
When you send test email from plugin’s settings, there should be a Debug Log box displayed right after you click “Send Test Email” button:

Same problem.
I am using GMAIL as my smtp server. Per Google’s instructions:
smtp server: smtp.gmail.com
Encryption: TLS
Port: 587
Under the “Additional Settings” tab, “Enable Debug Log” is checked.
I am sending a test email to my gmail account with the return address of another gmail account.
When I click “Send Test Message,” the “Debug Info” window is empty. When I navigate back to “Additional Settings” and click on “View Log,” it pulls up a blank page.
Suggestions?
Hi @biblyotheke. Try to disable all your plugins BUT Easy WP SMTP, also switch to default WP theme (like Twentyseventeen) and try again.
