Also, when I try to post-date to catch up with the current date, it simply schedules the post.
Not sure what you mean by “out of sync”.
Could you tell us your website address and a specific example of where the wrong date is being displayed, and what should be displayed instead?
So all my posts date back to 2014 even though the publish dates are this year. For example, I created a post last Tuesday, September 29, 2015 and it’s posted as August 26, 2014, 1 year and 1 month behind the published date. I thought it had something to do with the theme. When I contacted them, they said, “your issue not related with the theme. its wordpress setting. go to settings, general, timezone.” Did that. Everything is set correctly. Changed the theme to see if perhaps it was the theme and the dates were still out of sync, which leads me to believe they were correct.
Are you able to screencapture the timezone section on /wp-admin/options-general.php ?
A guess: perhaps the host’s server has the wrong date.
You could upload a php file to to check – see http://www.w3schools.com/php/func_date_date.asp
If that’s the problem, contact them.
Thanks for the info, Jason, I’ll check it out.
Onehare, I am not able to paste the screen capture. However, I can assure you that the information is correct. That is exactly where the theme guys told me to check first. What should I be looking for?
I contacted my host. The issue has been resolved. Thanks much.
