We are building forms where we need to capture a future date from the user, but it seems that the date selector only allows for up to this year when selecting a date. We need to be able to capture dates into the future (kind of like an ETA that we’re capturing from the user upon subscription that we will be building automations on). How do we allow for capturing of a future date? Is there perhaps a date selector add-on that we could employ, or a setting we can set somewhere with a custom function to allow for say one year in the future to be added to the default date selector in MailPoet? The styling on the default date selector is pretty terrible too though… (on top of each other rather than next to each other).

    Hello there @dtolken ,

Thank you for reaching out and for explaining your use case so clearly. I completely understand why you’d want to capture future dates for your subscribers, especially if you’re planning to use them in automations.

I looked into this on my test site and I can see exactly what you mean. The date selector currently only allows selecting dates up to the current year, and I agree that the stacked layout isn’t the most visually appealing.

At the moment, there isn’t a built-in setting or workaround in MailPoet to extend the date selector for future dates. This functionality isn’t on our roadmap right now, but you’re very welcome to add it as a suggestion here: MailPoet Feedback Portal

Our team reviews this feedback when discussing new features and improvements for the plugin.

While this isn’t possible with MailPoet out of the box, it might be achievable through some custom code. Please note that assistance with custom development falls outside our support scope, but if you’d like help implementing it, we recommend reaching out to a vetted developer from Codeable (affliate link).

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and for your thoughtful feedback about the date selector styling. I’ve noted that as well.
