Date Format Seems Invalid (FireFox Only)

    Hi there,

    I’ve set up a CF7 Form with an <input type="date"> field.

    As it’s a UK based website the date format needs to be in dd/mm/yyyy.

    Fine so far. Form sends no problem in Chrome, but when the same input is put into Firefox, I get the message

    date format seems invalid

    I don’t know whether I need to dynamically reformat this to yyyw-mm-dd onSubmit but that seems a bit hacky.

    Any guidance, please?

    Refer http://contactform7.com/date-field/ – DD-MM-YYYY format is not supported.

    The new CF7 date tag is a HTML5 date input type which currently has only limited cross-browser support. See http://www.wufoo.com/html5/types/4-date.html for the low down on this new HTML5 form element.

    Seems a bit odd though that Chrome accepts dd/mm/yyyy but not FireFox or IE11.

    I appreciate we’re working with in-development technology but consistency would be nice, no?
