Date field validation

We are using ultimate members plugin and we are using date field. Using date picker we need to allow the user to select <= current date.

We have given the setting as below
Set date range = Fixed number of years
Number of years to pick from = 1
Years selection = Past years only

But this is allowing us to select future dates also. kindly suggets.
