database wiped out, error establishing message. Spam?

    My blog has been working for many months now, and all of a sudden this afternoon I got an “error establishing connection” message. I logged into my control panel only to find that my database is GONE.

    I have a very big concern, because I got about 100 spam comments earlier today, and I’m wondering if this might have something to do with it?

    Has anyone heard of this problem? I haven’t upgraded to the newest version of WordPress, by the way.

    I also have NOT backed any of my posts up.

    Have you contacted your server host? Chances are they have either had a problem of some kind or they are doing maintenance or upgrade or other such thing.
