• I was editing something for the Multsite in my wp-config.php file and I don’t know what happened but everything is messed up now and I can’t even access my WordPress site. When I try to log on it says, One or more database tables are unavailable. The database may need to be repaired. I have no idea how to fix it. Is there a way to reinstall and return that file to how it was before without losing my entire site? I can’t even log into my WordPress which is the problem.

  • I’m not too sure what’s happening there, but I think it would be safe to say that you may not want to do anything with the database itself until you completely rule out that it’s not just an editing error.

I think the first step might be to simply rename and save your current wp-config.php file, and then restore/replace the file with a copy from your last working backup (or just prior to the edits you were making) and see if that changes the symptom at all.

yes thank you! That worked. Thank God I thought I had lost everything.

    No, thank you!

Thank you for making it easy on yourself by having back-ups for your site, and being able to take the nightmare out of what can often times end up being a heart-breaking issue. You put a smile on my face this morning! Best wishes.
