I recently moved my blog to a new server and host and now I have imported my old database table into my phpAdmin. I tried to log in to my site and it kept redirecting me back to my old site. I know I can easily fix the problem by deleting the database but I really want my old blog since I also used it as my CMS.

What do I need to do to fix this? How can I make those database tables integrate into my new site.

    Hi,

    Check with these options:

-> Set the permalink structure as it was on old server.
-> Assign 766 recursive permissions to wp-contents folder
-> make sure that you have left the domain name as it was. Just change the server only.

    Refer this article:

    Thanks,

    Shane:

Are you sure I should really change the permalink structure as it was on the old server. My url has changed in the transfer.

    smuffle89,

the link adresses what to do if your domain is changed. either Im reading you wrong, or you dont understand, since it sure sounds like thats what you have done.

I tried to log in to my site and it kept redirecting me back to my old site.

THAT is exactly what the 2 urls setting control.
