database problem after update to 4.4.1

Something strange happening, anytime i update to 4.4 (or now 4.4.1) i loos some of my database entries in one of my custom taxonomies. I always loose the same tables and same content. does anybody have a similar problem. I am running a modified coupon theme. However on another test install it works great. I also have a 500 error but only on my start page really confused hear!
