    Hello,

    Versions:
    – WordPress 4.9.4
    – PHP 7.2
    – MYSQL v.5.5
    – Wordfence Security 7.1.1

    After upgrading to Wordfence Security version 7.1.1 yesterday, I saw this error appearing in the server’s log:

    /www/index.php" stderr: PHP message: Erreur de la base de donn\xc3\xa9es WordPress MySQL server has gone away pour la requ\xc3\xaate SELECT TABLE_NAME FROM information_schema.TABLES
    /www/index.php" stderr: WHERE TABLE_SCHEMA=DATABASE()
    /www/index.php" stderr: AND TABLE_NAME='wp_wfConfig' faite par require('wp-blog-header.php'), require_once('wp-load.php'), require_once('wp-config.php'), require_once('wp-settings.php'), include_once('/plugins/wordfence/wordfence.php'), wordfence::install_actions, wordfence::getLog, wfLog::shared, wfConfig::get, wfConfig::hasCachedOption, wfConfig::loadAllOptions, wfConfig::updateTableExists

    Best regards,
    Stephane.

  • Hi @stfa76,

    Can you see any errors in the “Wordfence Config” section of the “Wordfence –> Tools –> Diagnostics” page?

    Have you checked that the “wfConfig” table isn’t corrupted in any way and needs to be repaired?

    Hi @wfyann,

    All the status are green in “Wordfence -> Tools -> Diagnostics”.
    And status is also OK when performing a “check table” on wfConfig under mysql.

    Best regards,
    Stephane.

    Hi @stfa76,

    Sorry about the delayed update.

    This seems to be a timeout related issue. Could you try implementing the solution outlined here?

    Hello @wfyann,

    Thank you for your answer.

    I guess the problem came from our previous provider because since I migrated my website two weeks ago, this issue did not come up again.

    Best regards,
    Stephane.

    Hi Stephane,

    Thanks for letting me know. I’m glad you found a solution!
