• Hey guys,
    I just upgraded my WordPress instalation to 1.2, I did it through the Fantastico automatic installation thingy on my server. Well, I was warned that all themes were going to disappear, what I didn’t know is that not only that was going to happen but also there would be no posts at all and a big fat error on the top part of the blog. I have a backup of the old version, but I really wanna be able to function the same way without having to downgrade. The error I get is the following:
    Database error: [Unknown column ‘post_date_gmt’ in ‘where clause’]
    SELECT DISTINCT * FROM wp_posts WHERE 1=1 AND post_date_gmt <= ‘2004-07-30 16:10:59’ AND (post_status = “publish”) GROUP BY wp_posts.ID ORDER BY post_date DESC LIMIT 20
    Whatever that’s supposed to mean, I checked for the SQL preferences on the server and everything was linked properly. I’t would be highly appreciated if someone could provide me with some help. Thanks a ton in advance!

  • uh ohhh!! the old template’s gone???

    The upgrade is done.
    I assume you used a control panel to do it ? Even so, that cpanel does not run the necessary upgrade script – it’s not uncommon for this.

    thanks a lot podz, it’s early morning here, and glad you came or i would have screwed up the pages. but is the old template gone for good??? 🙁

    If it was called ‘wp-layout.css’ then yes, I’m afraid it is.
    Any other image directories should not be affected.
    If you need any help in starting over with your css, then post again and start a new thread – help will head your way 🙂

    nope nope it’s not wp-layout.css
    it was a page on its own. as in the template is a self-made one without extrenal links to css.
