I created a demo site using the “original” english version of WP.
Now I am launching the definitive website and have uploaded the italian WP version, as the other users are not fluent in english.
I notice that the DB architecture is totally different – the italian version only has 10 fields, the english one 21. And now I can’t import the old DB into the new installation, of course.
Is this “normal”? Is there any way I can use the old DB with the italian localization?

    Thx

    Paul

    Hi

You said 10 fields – do you mean 10 tables? There are only 10 tables in the english WP. Perhaps the rest you are seeing were created by plugins?

    My bad, indeed :-/
I loaded the plugins on the new site, but I hadn’t activated them, therefore the table count was different.

One more lesson learnt, I suppose.

    Thank you,

    Paul
