Hello, wondering if anyone can help me out here. The person that hosts my site accidentally deleted it. I had backed up the files, but the database is gone. I would’ve backed that up as well, but I didn’t know you could/needed to – and quite honestly didn’t expect that it would be deleted so I didn’t think about it too much. ANYWAY, most of the painstaking hours getting the site up and running were spent modifying the css files. If he reloads the theme I used (avisio), can’t I just replace the css files to get it looking the same? From there, I would just have to reload all the content, no? It’s a portfolio site, so it’s just images and video mostly. He’s saying that won’t work. What’s the deal?

Your site will look the same but all the content was in the database. If you don’t have that backed up and you can’t get it from your website host (contact them and see if that’s possible) then unfortunately all your posts are lost :o(

Yeah, that’s what I thought. I don’t mind that as long as it looks as it did before when I reload everything. What a pain. Thanks for your response though:)
