I’m having some trouble installing WordPress this time. It is a Yahoo account server and I’m using phpMyAdmin. I created the database and inputted the data in the config file for WordPress (database name, username, password, on local host). I know the sever is running, so I’m not sure what the problem is.

Also, I’m a little new using phpMy Admin, but when I created the database there was 3 … already there by default in the name text field. I don’t know if they are important to add or not, but I’ve already tried with and without them in the config file. Would it take a couple moments for it to register/load though?

No. Try deleting your wp-config.php and allowing WordPress to create during the install process.

Hey esmi. I just tried that and it’s still not working. I’m in phpMyAdmin right now and I know I’m inputting the info correctly. It’s in localhost and I gave the user all database privileges.

I created a directory inside my site root for the install of phpMyAdmin. Do I need to specify this, or is localhost enough for database host?

Never mind I figured it out. Apparently the host is supposed to be mysql.
