Database Bloat solution – external database

May I suggest to offer a feature to save logs in a separate database outside of WP database to avoid the WP DB bloat. I think that would be a great feature. And of course some interface/settings to manage the retention of records by date, by number of logs, and also when to expire old logs. I think this is essential for large sites and especially multi-sites. Maybe an option of the type of Db can be offered to, either MySQL or SQLite (or others)
