    I am new to WordPress, and I am interested in purchasing a premium theme (as well as some plugins). I would like to know the following:

    1. As a general practice, what type of information, if any, feeds back to the theme author?

    2. In your experience, is there any variance between themes purchased from WordPress.org and the offerings from other (seemingly) well-trafficked theme markets as it relates to data collection?
