  • Going to Settings > General and changing the “WordPress Address (URL)” and the “Site Address (URL)”, because everything in your database, including the Login is linked to your former address.

    You must change them back to what they were. To do this, follow these instruction to the letter: Changing the URL directly in the database « WordPress Codex. To do this, you have to login into your hosting account.

    Neo;
    Thanks so much; that specific issue has been resolved, I now have access to my dashboard.

    My original problem was me having difficulty figuring out how to display my most recent posts along with their thumbnails on my home page. I did some research and did find a plugin that allows me to display my recent posts, but it only displays the link to the original post, along with a few sentences of the article. The plugin name is Display Post Shortcode, and the code I embedded in my static page was:

    [display-posts posts_per_page=”5″ image_size=”thumbnail” include_excerpt=”true”]

    What I’m looking for is a similar setup of:

    Sorry for the tangent lol

    Thanks again

    What is at the top of the site you linked is a “galery slider”, probably “carousel” style. There are plugins for them in the WordPress Plugin Directory or a commercial one.
    A link to your site, please.
    And what theme are you using?

    My still under construction website is http://www.thesixsixthree.com. I was able to get the slider to work, but I was looking more at the posts with the picture above it, and how to replicate it. I actually have the Blender theme that I linked.

    Your theme, Blender, is actually a commercial theme and the Forum only handles issues concerning the free themes from the WordPress Theme Directory, but I will give you one hint…

    Images displayed with posts are usually the Featured Image of each post. There is a “box” on the right side of the Post Editor window that is labelled “Set Featured Image”. Try picking an image and see if it shows. Failing that, you would have to contact the developer of the theme.
