I was able to fix this by using jQuery.noConflict in lines 138 and 139 in the maxgalleria-lite.php file
mine now reads
else {
echo '<script type="text/javascript">';
echo 'jQuery.noconflict(document).ready(function() {';
echo ' jQuery.noconflict("tr#post-' . $post->ID . '").hide();';
echo '});';
echo '</script>';
}
I am getting the same problem using the Suffusion theme.
