Customizing test email content?

    When I send a test email, is there any way to change the body text? I just wanna make sure my filters aren’t accidentally marking standard SMTP tests as spam before I go live with the client.

    Thanks for reaching out.

    I apologize, the built-in “Email Test” feature is a hardcoded diagnostic tool designed specifically to verify your mail server configuration, so its text content and layout cannot be directly edited.

    While you cannot edit the text, you can change how the diagnostic test behaves:

    • Go to WP Mail SMTP > Tools > Email Test.
    • Change the recipient in the Send To field.
    • Toggle the HTML button off if you want to test how your server handles Plain Text emails.

    And, if you want to use your own body text, you can instead do tests using a form plugin like- WPForms. Here are the simple steps-

    • Create a simple contact form using WPForms and set your email address in the notification.
    • Preview the form and type your custom test message into the form notification settings.
    • Submit and test.
