Customizing Colors

    I’m new to wordpress and taking a class in it. I’ve been trying to customize the colors. I’m using black as the color scheme and then trying to change header text colors, site name background colors, etc. It appears that maybe some colors won’t work with others although I’m not sure about this. I do get it to show as I want and then click save and it looks good. I then close this and go to my page and it has changed the header text color to white. I do not understand this. Thanks for any help.

    Hey Boyan! How the hell are you? Long time no see and where are you now?
    Do you remember the Coyote Mountains? Donna and I were planning on doing that hike tomorrow with some friends but I’ve been sick and it’s going to have to wait a couple of weeks.
    Anyway, about this WordPress thing. Let me work with it a few more days and see what I can come up with. I might even change themes. I’m looking for a good theme to display my photographs and do a little blogging about hiking.
    Custom CSS is way over my head right now, as I am just starting out with WP. So I’ll play around with it again over the next week and see what I can come up with. Thanks for offering, and I’ll let you know if you can be of some help in the future.
