• Not sure if this is a Kadence thing, a WordPress thing, or completely on my end, somehow: I go to Customize > Colors and choose Palette 2. I change the Base color and it changes. But only on the Front Page; if I go to other pages, it doesn’t show the newly selected color. And then if I come back to the front page, the old color is there, even though the new color appears in the selector. I tried zapping my browser’s cache and the WordPress cache, and this behavior continues. Does anyone else get this behavior, or is it somehow just me? Thanks!

  • Hi @davidsortof ,

    Happy to help.

I am unable to replicate this on my website. When I select Palette 2 and change the Base color, the new color is applied correctly across my pages, as shown in this screencast:
    https://www.loom.com/share/f925570e835b4af993faef191a51f895

To troubleshoot this, could you please try the following:

    1. Temporarily disable any caching/optimization plugins: If you are using a caching or optimization plugin, please disable it completely and clear your website and browser caches.
    2. Check for a plugin conflict: Temporarily deactivate all non-Kadence plugins and then check whether the Palette 2 Base color is applied correctly across your pages. If the issue goes away, reactivate the plugins one at a time to identify which one is causing the conflict.

Please let me know how this goes.

Thanks Eze! And thanks especially for making that recording. It made me realize that one of the things I’m doing differently is that I’m never hitting publish. So, perhaps this is a “behavioral” thing. ; ) If I choose a new color and hit publish, the new color sticks across all pages.

I guess, this “behavior” I’m doing involves picking a color, seeing how it looks across the site, adding a new color, etc., and only then, once I have everything looking good, hitting publish. But I can change my behavior and publish/republish until it looks good.

Just curious, if you try my behavior, do the colors not stick, as I’ve described it?

    Hi @davidsortof,

    Thanks for the additional information.

I tried following the same behavior you described, changing the Palette 2 Base color without clicking Publish, and the new base colors are applied immediately, even before I publish the changes.

Here is a screencast for reference:

Could you also confirm whether you have had a chance to try the troubleshooting steps I provided earlier?

Hi Ese, thanks for checking. Yes, I tried disabling all non-kadence plug-ins (only 1, a caching plug-in) and cleared all caches, and all that had no effect.
