I’m thinking this might be a conflict coming from some kind of third party plugin. Or there might be something else which I’m suspecting, but we’ll get to that in a bit.
Would it be possible to attempt this workflow with all third party plugins temporarily disabled? This will give us a head start in seeing where this is coming from.

I deactivated almost all of my plugins and it helped, thank you. But I have another question. How can I remove the first h2 from the excerpts of the post that you can see on the main page? I couldn’t find any option for that.

Ok, the next step would be to see which plugin is affecting this so we could investigate further. You will need to turn them one by one until you identify the one that freezes the customiser.
For the second question, I’m afraid that’s not possible without writing a custom excerpt for every post. The excerpt output is controlled by WordPress and there isn’t a way to exclude blocks from showing up in it.

Could you link us to this exact plugin, please? I know this builder, but you might’ve gotten it from another theme and can be outdated. Is the version from the WordPress store?
The custom excerpt will be shown in search engines unless you have implemented an SEO plugin that changes those forcefully. If so, these will not be affected, only the site.

Hmm, I’m not able to reproduce the issue with the free version. I’m thinking their pro one has something added to it that triggers this error?
Sadly, we do not have access to this paid plugin. Would it be possible to send us this version so that we could test it and see what’s what?

Yes, I think it started when I activated the premium version. How can I send this version to you?
I wrote them yesterday about some other issues with the premium version which could be related to the blocksy theme not working correctly and they replied today that they need my admin url and password. I don’t think I will give it to them.

P.S.: You might want to rethink giving them access, as they will be able to diagnose your issues much faster. It would be impossible to guess what’s going on without hands-on access.
