Customizer and Elementor are not loading

    The theme customiser on my wordpress is not loading for any theme (it returns a broken HTML page). It was working in the morning, but suddenly when I tried using it in the afternoon it was not at all loading. Even the edit with elementor plugin is not loading at all. I have tried a couple of things like updating wordpress, plugins, deactivating all plugins except elementor. I have even tried using a new browser and a new device, but with no success. I am very new to this field and I feel lost. Any kind of suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Edit: I had experienced a similar/same problem two days back when it was resolved by me updating my php from 5.3 to 7.1. Also note that I am very new to this field and have only been using wordpress for 5 days. Any kind of direction regarding where should I be looking for answers are highly desirable. Thanks a lot!

    Sorry to hear of your troubles. Elementor would be a likely source of conflict, so you need to at least temporarily deactivate it to determine if it’s the cause. If you cannot afford to have your site’s display corrupted by this test, install and activate the health-check plugin. Its troubleshooting mode lets you deactivate and reactivate plugins and themes without affecting other users. Only your view will be affected.

    Make sure you are using the latest available version of Elementor. You may get a further clue about the problem by checking for errors in your browser console and your PHP error log. I’m really expecting some sort of error in the browser console. The source of the error may indicate the problem module, but it can also be misleading when the root cause does not manifest itself until later.

    Once you narrow down the source to a particular plugin or theme with the troubleshooting mode, get with the responsible author for further resolution.
