Customize Loading/Website Preview

    I recently downloaded wordpress for my website linked through godaddy.com to make a new website for our company. I am unable to customize my website, every time I click on appearance–>customize the page just loads constantly and I am unable to do anything. I have read through previous forums and have deactivated all of the plug-ins, cleared my browser history and still have the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to the wordpress world, but I am getting frustrated that I am unable to do anything.

    I have found that it loads “eventually”. I am also on Godaddy.

    thanks, do you have a time frame? I have let it sit all day and still nothing happens.

    Have you had issues with godaddy recognizing the site? We already have a site, but i am attempting to build a new one, but i haven’t seen any changes on go daddy’s side with my site, granted i haven’t really been able to do much on the wordpress side.

    Try using this plugin, it helped my site. https://wordpress.org/plugins/heartbeat-control/ or https://wordpress.org/plugins/ajax-heartbeat-tool/

    They’re about the same, heartbeat control has some settings you can change.

    The theme you are using can effect the customize load also. You didn’t state the site or the theme. I have noticed a difference with different themes depending on how heavy they are.

    Thanks for the suggestion, I am uploading now and will see if they work.

    I have attempted to use 2 different themes to see if the customize will load. So far I have tried the 2014 and 2015 themes currently on wordpress.

    Thank you for your help. I just spoke with godaddy.com and i was instructed to download the incorrect hosting support. It is being corrected and I should have the ability to use wordpress properly
