Customization And Editor discrepancy

    I’ve recently installed WordPress on my hostinger server and I’m wanting to create a woocommerce site so I have installed that as well. I very well may have clicked on something I wasn’t supposed to, but all I know is I have tried to different block style themes by different companies and in each case I get the same result. When I go to the WordPress dashboard and then scroll down to appearance and click customize the theme preview shown to the right is the correct theme (Ecommerce trendy outfits), However once I’m in that area if I click on use site editor button at the top the preview I am then seeing is for a completely different theme (called Twenty Twenty Four). As mentioned I’ve also tried a different block style theme and the results are the same. I also noticed that when I click on customize and the theme area it also takes me to the wrong preview in the editor although the one that it shows active is the correct one I’m wanting. I’ve used hostingers AI chatbot extensively and then was able to be connected to three different human chat people but in the end despite a numerous amount of things they suggested for me to change and do none of them worked. They simply said it is beyond the scope of their knowledge and training and suggested I post here to obtain help. As you may have guessed I am not super techy but I feel like I have been following instructions pretty well, I just have no clue how to fix this but I’m really wanted to use this particular template or at least one of the two that I’m interesting because I love the way the block templates look with their various animation. A resolution will be tremendously appreciated. Thanks for your time

    That’s odd indeed. Unfortunately, the information provided so far isn’t enough to diagnose the issue with certainty.

    That said, I strongly suspect this is related to Hostinger’s server-side caching or optimization layers, which are quite aggressive.

    Before anything else, I’d start with the simplest thing: flush your cache. Hostinger has a built-in caching layer, so log into your Hostinger control panel and look for a “Cache” option to clear it. If you also have a caching plugin installed (LiteSpeed Cache, W3 Total Cache, WP Rocket, etc.), clear it from there too.

    After flushing, recheck the Site Editor and see if anything changes.

    If the problem persists, the next step would be temporarily deactivating all plugins then recheck the Site Editor. You can reactivate them all afterward, this is just for diagnostic purposes.

    Let us know what you find after both steps and we can go from there.

    I appreciate your response and assistance. Deactivating the plugins and resetting the cache is something that I’ve already tried. They wanted to say they think it’s the developer issue but because it’s doing it on two separate themes and with different authors I just don’t know if that’s the case.

    Hmmm, this is still not enough to conclude anything definitively.

    Have you tested with a default theme instead of Ecommerce Trendy Outfits?
    Can you clearly describe the steps to reproduce the issue?
    Are you able to reproduce the same issue on a fresh WordPress installation?

    These steps help determine whether the problem is environment-specific or something more general.

    Also, if possible, please share a screenshot or a page URL showing the discrepancy, that would make it much easier to identify the root cause.

    Also temporarily disable all plugins and, as previously recommended, switch to a default theme such as TwentyTwentyFive.
