Customising the theme (read more tags sidebars)

We’ve switched over to the Minamaze theme for our site, gadgetblur.com, and just have a few questions on how to edit the placement and colour of the read more tags (they don’t match our theme, and are placed a tad bit high on the homepage).

I can also see the option to add a sidebar, but for some reason this only works when viewing posts, and wont appear on the homepage. Is there a way to change this?
