Custom URL structure alongside PERMALINKS…?

    Hi everyone,

I have my permalink structure set up as follows: /%category%/%postname%/. Which is what I want for single posts/pages. However, for (e.g.) the archive pages I don’t want the ‘base’ in the URL. So, in stead of “/category(or any other base string)/featured/” I’d like to use “/featured/”. Using pages this works fine when publishing under (in this case) a page named “featured”…
Is there a way to do this? (It’s possible to change the ‘base’ of tag- and category (i.e. ‘archive’ pages) URL’s but not to remove it…)

    Thanks for your replies!
