I’m quite new to web design and wordpress. I’m creating a site dedicated to health and fitness without expensive equipment, supplements, etc. One resource I would like to make available is a “create your own routine” function. I’m wondering if there’s a plugin or something that would allow multiple expandable categories (a category for each muscle group) that would display different exercise types to choose from. Ideally, I would like people to see a list of each muscle group, click on the category to expand it and select the exercise or exercises for that category, then move on to the next category, and continue making selections in this manner. Once finished, I would want it to create a custom file for that user (workout routine #1) so that they could access it any time.

Forgive my complete ignorance if this is a basic question….as I said, I’m very new to this.

  • “Categories” in WordPress mean something very different than what you’re describing, at least with with piece to save a custom file.

You can certainly create a menu structure that can lead people through information, but creating a file means creating a form of some sort for the reader to fill out.

Search the plugins directory (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/) for form building functions, and read the descriptions and support forums carefully to find something that may work for you.
