Custom Product Attributes

    I want to add some custom product attributes to my products for internal use only.

    I figured this would be easily achieved by simply unchecking the “Visible on the product page” and “Visible during checkout” checkboxes. However, while this does hide the custom attributes on the product page, they will still show up on the cart page rendering these options completely pointless.

    Is it possible to add custom meta data / attributes to a product that will _not_ be shown on the website? I need it for internal use only, i.e. it is being queried by WC APIs and should not be shown to the customer at all.

    I would prefer if this could be done without any additional plugins or custom code.

    Hi @bulettenberti,

    I’m not sure how you’ll manage to hide an attribute in the front end without custom code, since out of the box that won’t be possible with the default options of WooCommerce.

    If you’re willing to add custom code you can follow this Stack Overflow question that has a snippet to hide a specific custom attribute from all pages.

    Alternatively, you can consult with a developer who can help you create a custom solution.
