Hi @metaglyphics,
Thanks for your message.
Yes, you can trigger a notification when a new post in a custom post type is published.
If your post type is called ‘Movie’, providing that it’s set to ‘public’, you should see a “New ‘Movie'” notification type in the list of available notifications that you can choose.
If this is what you’re already doing but it’s triggering two notifications, can you tell me what notifications is triggering?
When a post moves from pending to published, it will trigger the ‘New Post Published’ notification. You can also set-up a notification for when posts go from draft to pending review.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Jack
I have a category called Marketplace. I selected a notification for New ‘Marketplace’ listing.
I selected Send this notification to the Author Only.
The message is intended to tell the author that their post has been published. For some reason, two copies are being sent.
It looks like the plugin is sending two copies if every email.
Also, is it possible to add additional conditions? For instance, I have a post status called Expired. I would love to be able to send an email when a post’s status transitions from Publish to Expired.
Hi @metaglyphics,
It sounds like a potential plugin or theme conflict to me.
Please can you make your way through this document and let me know how you get on?
With regards to custom statuses, they’re not part of the plugin at this time but it is on the roadmap.
Thanks,
Jack
