Do the recent upgrade in the custom permalink plugin support the block editor?
Which block editor you are talking about? If you are talking about Gutenberg then yes Custom Permalinks supports Gutenberg.
Are you also working on the wordpress 5.5 support?
Custom Permalinks already support WordPress 5.5. I forgot to update it in readme, I will fix that out.

Yes, I am talking about Gutenberg block editor. Because last time when I checked it at version 1.5, it was not working. Is this with the latest update 1.7.0? Because I am afraid to test as the site is breaking time and again due to the plugin and wordpress update this time.

It was partially working with Gutenberg in v1.5.1. Field was only showed before when you edit any page OR refresh the page after saving page first time.
With v1.6.0, Gutenberg is fully supported and doesn’t need a page refresh. You can test the plugin. If you get any issue or error feel free to reach out to me and I will try to resolve your issue as soon as I can.

I tried to test custom permalink with gutenberg block editor over wordpress 5.5. I could not find the option to edit the permalink.
Where shall we find the option to edit if it works on other sites?

@telecomnepali It is visible right below the block editor, just like this:
If it is not showing you there then please search Custom Permalinks in your browser.
NOTE: Custom Permalinks box only shows up once you save the post.
