That looks like maybe the infinite scroll feature is conflicting with something else. Could you check if you have “Infinite Scroll” enabled under Options > Premium? If so, set it to No to disable it. Does this issue still exist?

Do you have related products set to manual or automatic?
Are the products that are supposed to be related in the same category/sub-category?
Only set manual.
There are 7 categories and they are related, yes.

I’m kind of confused as to what’s going on. If you have it set to Manual, then it won’t do anything automatically, like grab them from the same category, etc. With manual, you are indicating, for every product, which related products you want to show.
That being said, the related products feature is really designed to work with the tabbed and shop style product page layouts. If you haven’t already tried one of those, I would encourage you to do so. They are fully responsive and have features that other layouts don’t, such as video embeds, image galleries, custom tabs, etc.
