[Resolved] Custom menu's with multiple themes

  • Hi,
    I am using the jonradio Multiple Themes plugin to set a different template for my /blog/ category on my wp website. Now i would like to use a custom menu on the /blog/ category.

    Lets say my website in general uses Theme A
    The /blog/ category uses Theme B

    Now i registered the custom menu in the functions.php of both themes; Theme A and B. I assigned my custom menu to the blog menu Used this code to register my custom menu
    register_nav_menu( 'hf_blog', __( 'Blog H&F Menu', 'twentyten' ) );

    and I used this code to display my custom menu
    <?php wp_nav_menu( array( 'container_class' => 'kleinmenu', 'theme_location' => 'hf_blog' ) ); ?>

    But that is not working. It must have something to do with the fact that i am using a different theme for the /blog/ category, and WP does not recognize the custom menu or anything.

    Anyone who can help me with this?
    Thanks a lot.

  • Solution: assign the menu’s in both themes. So activate theme A > assign your custom menu’s and do the same for theme B. That should work.
